Over one thousand migrants in Reggio Emilia to request a “sanatoria immediately”
More than one thousand migrants participated at the demonstration of the 1st of May organized by the Commitee of Irregular Workers. The procession of demonstrators crossed the streets and squares of the town, shouting "Enough with the speculations on our backs, sanatoria immediately".

The De Mistura’s commission has finally rendered the conclusions of its surveying public on Temporary Permanence Centers(CPT) and identification centers and attendance centers for immigrants on the Italian ground.

Africa as Europe: better letting them die than setting a precedent
In this moment there are 400 men in the middle of the sea without water nor food. Maybe there are more, but we know for certain only these 400. They are off Mauritania since four days, according to what Cinzia Gubbini writes in the article we published in our website on february 7th.

Left in the Desert: Hundreds of Refugees Arrested and Deported from Morocco

Over 250 Sub-Saharan Africans have been arrested by the Moroccan authorities in raids that took place in different quarters of Rabat on December 23rd, 2006. Among the arrested were women and children refugees and asylum seekers. Six buses, accompanied by the army, then carried them to Oujda on the Algerian borders. Frustrated at being detained in awful prison-like conditions, often for long periods, the detainees of Harmondsworth detention centre, near Heathrow, have ’gone wild’. Italy - No border camp in Gorizia - Nova Goriza, a step further.
Report of the initiative taking place in july 006
From 19 to 23 of July took place the first no border camp on the border between Italy en Slovenia. It has been organized by the Social Center "Clandestino" in Gorizia-Nova Goriza, by the Area of Social Disobedience and by the Slovenian network "Dost Je" The event saw the participation, every day, of at least 150 people from various cities and social centers in Italy, in Slovenia, Austria, France, England.

The judge for the preliminary hearing at Agrigento has decided to commit Elias Bierdel and the captain and the first officer of the Cap Anamur for trial.
The Cap Anamur is the German vessel which was involved in the notorious case in which the Italian, German and Maltese governments refused to disembark shipwreck survivors picked up in the Canal of Sicily between Lampedusa and Libya.
