Padova Open City
Let’s free ourselves from intolerance and hate on April 25th

Let’s fill the city with life, ideas, and colours!

Many initiatives and various activities will take place in the city throughout the day, from the piazzas to neighborhoods. Casual sports, socializing, gathering, and community-building will be our April 25th, our Liberation Day.

In a context dominated by political forces that use fear, racism, and hate to continue to impose an unjust system, it is important to untangle the thread of memory. We must not only remember what the resistance and the fight against nazifascism looked like in the past, but also what they will look like tomorrow. For us, the Liberation is in the daily acts of those who fight to free themselves from economic exploitation and subaltern conditions, and those who refuse to accept an existence of injustice by creating, instead, daily spaces of a just society for all.

Padova is and will always be a city for everyone.
